Intense flame that we shared.
Life force, energy squared.

Air in every breath.
Slow & fiery death.
Exhaled, let you go.
Because you told me no more,
& abruptly closed the door.
So much more that was in store.
I poured out my Soul,
connected in whole,
and we both felt loved.
Overwhelmed, you ran.
Suppressed, hid your hand.
“I am who I am”
Ego you cling to,
beneath illusions,
I saw the real you.

We all want someone to
experience love through,
except for maybe you.
You’re unmoved and secured.
Content in the obscure.
Your alias ensured.
No effort to expend,
desire nor intent.
No feelings to contend.
Harshly, you told me no more,

Delights left at the start.
You know it, in your heart.
But okay, I will go.
Your will, not be defied.
Intuition aside.
Rational override.
You’ll be fine, I’ll abide
with love, across time.
