The Call: A Rosicrucian Inspiration
The Rose: Symbol of Unfolding Beauty and Mystery
In Rosicrucian philosophy, the Rose isn't just a pretty flower. It's a multi-layered symbol, deeply connected to both spiritual growth and the mysteries of the universe.
But much like the thorns on a rose stem, growth comes with challenges as we face difficulties meant to reveal and unveil our true beauty, like a rock under pressure that transforms into a sparkling gem.
My trip to Europe served to peel back more petals… unveiling new layers of the rose… hidden power and wounds that had yet to be revealed and healed.
Before leaving on the trip, I took the time to tie up loose ends concerning a connection with another Gemini I am attempting to cultivate. One that had come to a screeching halt due to unforeseen circumstances. Unlike my last Gemini Man, with this new Gemini Knight, I have been quite successful in pacing myself better, effectively, and assertively communicating my needs and expectations, and not accepting less than I deserve.
When faced with a sudden shift in my perception of his effort, I decided to abide by the Gestalt prayer that invites us to focus on living in response to our own needs, without projecting onto or taking introjects from others; helping us create healthier spaces for more genuine connections.
I prioritized my emotional well-being and surrendered a dynamic that wasn’t serving my greater good in its current iteration. Communicating my feelings, setting boundaries without being accusatory, expressing appreciation, reiterating my self-worth, and my interest in fostering connections that align with my needs and desires.
Letting it go, but leaving the door slightly ajar for future possibilities. Because the unrelenting Spirit in me never loses hope.
But I had not left Hannah alone since my last trip 7 years ago to Peru, and that trip was only for 3 days.
Cut to Europe. We arrived at what I can only describe as the most spectacular show I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing: Sara Baras´s Vuela Tour in Madrid. I have always been fascinated by Flamenco dancing, even going so far as taking classes for about a year during my Senior year in High School.
For me, Flamenco dancing is the epitome of the Divine Feminine; the embodiment of power, mystery, allure, passion, wholehearted love, grace, seduction, and complete emotional expression. Sara Baras’s show was all of that, and so much more. There was drama, impeccable lighting, talented artistry, incredible emoting, and an abundant energetic outpouring from every artist on that stage.
The following day off we went to Milán. A full-day round-trip excursion, strictly limited to the airport and our Italian manufacturing partner’s facilities. Their reception, amazing infrastructure, unlimited potential, and willingness to co-create, build, and develop with us exceeded all expectations we could have hoped for.
So overwhelmed were we with gratitude that Heidy (my boss, mentor, longest friend, and sister from another mother and father) and I couldn’t hold back our tears of absolute joy as we boarded the plane back to Madrid. The following day was full of sightseeing in Madrid, including a guided tour of Museo del Prado (thanks to our manufacturing partner in Madrid), delicious meals, and shopping.
Back at our AirBnb, I couldn´t find rest… overcome by the dramatic alterations of my accustomed daily rhythm and routines, jetlag, emotional onslaught, and overstimulation. I had also received word that Hannita had gotten sick in my absence, and the news proved to be the needle that broke the camel’s back.
I started to feel a hypertensive episode come on and began to try to self-soothe and self-regulate. Heidy heard my movement and came to see if I was okay. She was inspired to speak to me about Control and Guilt. Pointing out that I had to continue working on my need for control and guilt associated with my family, but especially Hannah.
Her words were like words from God himself, I felt their power and confirmation in my body that these were wounds I had yet to properly heal. What proceeded was an intense few hours of Divine Intervention where both Heidy and I exchanged words of reflection, in solidarity, with compassion, but above all full of encouragement. We spoke of feelings of unworthiness, the need for greater self-love and better balance, imposter syndrome, and letting go of the need for control and fear at the edge of the precipice we are being asked to jump into.
God was sharpening our tools; reminding us that He does not choose the prepared… that He prepares the chosen. That He knows the depths of our Souls, our hearts’ true intentions and value, and our kindness and willingness to share our blessings and light in service of others. That all that we were experiencing on the trip was a glimpse into what He has in store for us, but we have to believe ourselves worthy and deserving to carry out his will. Encouraging us to dive into the abyss, trusting fully, and knowing we will grow the wings needed to fly.
We ended our exchange in a snot-nosed crying prayer of gratitude and acceptance, surrender and love, renewed Spirit, and both with a greater sense of purpose. I looked at the clock and noted it was 2:22 am. I am all about those Angel Numbers, and felt inspired to look it up.
- The Unfolding: Like a rosebud slowly opening its petals, the Rosicrucians believe humans have hidden potential within them. It takes dedicated self-work and spiritual seeking to "bloom" into our full selves.
- The Center of the Cross: The Rose is often placed at the heart of the Rosicrucian Cross, showing its importance. This represents the balance between the material world (the cross) and the spiritual realm (the rose), both essential for a fulfilling life.
- Hidden Meanings: Alchemists and mystics loved the rose. Its different colors and stages of growth could represent stages of transformation, the search for hidden knowledge, or even the quest for immortality.
- Perfection and Regeneration: Even when a rose wilts, it leaves seeds for new life. This speaks to the cyclical nature of our existence, the idea that, even from endings, new beginnings can emerge.
Unveiling New Layers: Overcoming Challenges and Embracing Change
I have felt resonant with the Rose’s bloom as a mirror for my ongoing journey of self-discovery and the birthing of my full potential… ushering in the start of my Soul’s greater purpose. To propagate the infinite, serving as a beacon of unconditional love and light in service to humanity; through the development of products and services meant to improve health, well-being, and quality of life.

A Flamenco Awakening: Finding Power in the Divine Feminine
Feeling proud of my growth, I left Guatemala with renewed strength and purpose, if hesitant about leaving Hannah for an entire week. She would be in the care of my aunt and cousin, who live on the same property my house is on and are true guardian Angels for my daughter and myself. Her father would also be accessible if the need arose.
But I had not left Hannah alone since my last trip 7 years ago to Peru, and that trip was only for 3 days.
