You awoke from creation
an abundance of love
You had high expectations
sent down from above
You cried out for nurture
a much-needed fuel
You instead met with torture
an infancy so cruel
You had to find meaning
and lessons to gain
You found Spirit intervening
when in exchange there was pain
You always searched for a savior
had unrelenting hope
You met disorderly behavior
with a loving antidote
You felt the pressure rising
buckled and stumbled
You strained and rose, apologizing
ashamed to have fumbled
But you don´t owe an explanation...
You need care and attention
to loosen the chokehold
You need release through self-expression
to not be so controlled
You need freedom and ease
to lift the depression
You need to heal the disease
to reduce the compression
But for now, you need rest and to know you are loved.
