The familiar ache of loneliness
of frozen moments left unseen
Being vulnerable, a weakness
and needing love, a mortal sin
Vital strength arose as armor.
Needs forgotten in the corner.
Then came the Dark Night of the Soul
Extreme sadness, pain, no motivation
Inner turmoil, to come out whole
Deep insight, growth, and more transformation
Contraction: Stop nursing scars.
Expansion: Start seeking stars.
The intimate comfort of true happiness
of treasured moments I've felt seen
Receptivity encourages openness
A blossoming love, fresh and green
Letting go of control.
Blissful smile, the new goal.
Daunting Elation
Willing Reluctance
Magnetic Persuasion
Ageless Youth
Uncertain Truth
Will I receive what I deserve?
Am I drawn to the impossible?
There's lingering doubt and reserve
Is there one too many obstacles?
Is this oasis a mirage?
Will I misstep, self-sabotage?
You act and choose me every day
You willingly quench my thirst
You bring me joy in every way
In my story, well-versed
The uncertain voice fades.
It's nothing like how I would have written it
Better for all the right reasons
Everything, like the whispers of my Spirit
Unwavering through two seasons
Will you remain after four?
