This was inspired by a dream I had of a magnificent fire stag. It was one of those vivid and lucid dreams I know are from Source and meant as divine inspiration. After channeling the words meant to flow out from me into existence, I was intrigued and took a trip down the rabbit hole, only this rabbit hole was Stag shaped.
The Stag is a recurrent, prevalent, and powerful spiritual symbol in mythology, religion, and folklore. The Stag embodies a rare combination between intuition and knowledge. It is a wild, majestic, and solitary creature used to represent masculine energies of independence, strength, virility, agility, leadership, stability, dignity, nobility, spiritual authority, and divine knowledge. It represents the feminine energies of creativity, endurance, innocence, sensitivity, fertility, tenderness, patience, and empathy.
The older the Stag, the more impressive his antlers... with age comes greater wisdom and strength allowing him to bear the weight of the Golden Disc of Knowledge / the Golden Cross. The stag, like fire, has three color representations. The Red/Orange Stag, like a red/orange flame, is the one farthest from Source... at the coolest temperature. The White Stag, like a white flame, is closer to the fuel source and thus burns hotter. Finally, the Blue Stag, or blue flame, is the most intense attainment of perfect combustion.
A Red/Orange Stag is a call for courage and endurance, in preparation for the challenge of embracing change and active growth into becoming the best version of yourself. A White Stag represents a return to harmony with the Divine, in truth and with a free Spirit. The ushering in of new beginnings, new ideas, and powerful manifestation. The Blue Stag shows mastery over emotions and spiritual enlightenment and represents divine wisdom that flows directly from Source.
The spiritual relevance of the Stag can also be traced back to Cernunnos, the Gaelic god of beasts and wild places. A more in-depth description of the mythology of Cernunnos can be found here. But I will excerpt what I found most relevant to my dream. "Mediator of man and nature, able to tame predator and prey so they might lie down together. Cernunnos may have been a fertility god or god of life. He is the lord of both life and death."
