It has been a month
since you and I spoke
Four point four long weeks
of these tear-stained cheeks
and creative streaks
Thirty-one dull days
all gone in a haze
since we parted ways
No message, no sign
no physical proof
trusting the knowing
Mind kept occupied
heart won't be denied
often dewy-eyed
I should be used to this
to lose without a kiss
then forced to reminisce
My heart is not shattered
it is being reshaped
to hold something Divine
And there will come a time
when the stars will align
I'll cross the finish line
I'll arrive at home base
love at a sacred pace
I'll carry it with grace
No doubts, no holding back
both chosen and cherished
as irreplaceable
