You say you want connection,
and wish you could be seen.
But when faced with intention,
you run off and create a smoke screen.
Recoil and return to the safety of routine.
I too want a connection,
I too long to be seen.
But when I sense deception,
I disengage and swiftly wipe clean.
I too favor the comfort of all that is foreseen.
Embrace the unexpected.
Step out into the unknown.
But if we´re all this affected,
by the potential of being known.
We´re all surely destined to end up quite alone.
